North Country Trail
This beautiful trail is part of the National Parks Trails System and when completed, the 4,600-mile National Scenic Trail will be the longest continuous hiking trail in the United States, traversing through eight states, from Vermont to North Dakota. The trail links scenic, natural, historic, and cultural areas allowing visitors to experience a variety of northern landscapes. White Cloud is located about midpoint on the trail and the restored 100-year-old Birch Grove School House at the corner of Five Mile and Felch roads was the former headquarters for the National Scenic Trail. The trail links scenic, natural, historic and cultural areas in seven states. This is a great way to get back to nature!
