Get a Little Mud on the Tires on the ORV Trails of Newaygo County
NewayGo County is the perfect destination to get some mud on the tires. Our region offers connectors to hundreds of miles of a comprehensive ORV & ATV trail network. The Michigan Cross Country Cycle Trail in White Cloud offers over 16 miles of motorized trails and connects to regional trail systems. The roads of NewayGo County are also Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) friendly welcoming you to explore any of the county’s well-maintained roads. The Dragon Trail is Close to Completion
As The Dragon continues to grow, more and more hikers and bikers make their way to the trailheads of this exciting new trail in the heart of Michigan’s lower peninsula. With access points in Newaygo and Mecosta Counties, this bi-directional hiking and biking trail welcomes you to explore and enjoy spectacular year-round scenery of the Hardy Pond area. Approximately 30-miles of the planned 42-mile loop have been completed to date, and conditions permitting, the final stretch will be complete during the summer of 2024. Fall Hunting Season
Your passion for the hunt will find it’s home in Newaygo County. No need to venture further north for the ultimate pursuit of the white tail deer, our region offers over 15,000 acres of public hunting land for you to explore. Archery season is October 1st through November 14th, regular firearm season is November 15th through the 30th, and then bow hunters are welcomed back to finish their season for the month of December.
