The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the schedule of events for the 16th Annual Fremont Harvest Festival, slated to be Thursday September 22nd, Friday September 23rd and Saturday 24th. The Fremont Harvest Festival celebrates the rich farming heritage of the Fremont Community and embraces the fall abundance.

Hay art is beginning to take over downtown Fremont and YOU are invited to help pick the best!   During Harvest Festival each year, the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce invites businesses & residents to take their shot at creating art from hay!

Voting is done by donating canned goods and food for your favorite creation.  Voting runs for two weeks starting on Monday, September 19th and runs through Friday, October 7th.    Bring your votes to the Chamber office during the hours of 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday.  Some of the participants will also collect your votes at their place of business or hay art display.

We enjoy the Fremont Harvest Festival so much!  We get to visit with our neighbors while celebrating our local farming community!  The Harvest Parade showcases so many of the antique tractors and the big implement equipment!   It is fun to see all the hay art creations around town.”

All the food is donated to the True North Food Pantry.  This year more than ever, the food pantry at TrueNorth Community Services needs food to stock their shelves!  Be sure to bring in your votes for your favorite hay art!  At the end of the 2021 Harvest Festival, over 64,900 pounds of food was donated on behalf of the hay art competition.

Want to ensure you don’t miss any hay creations?  Stop at the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce office to grab a map!

The Harvest Time Parade kicks off the festival on Thursday, September 22 at 6pm.  Get to town early & grab a spot between Hillcrest & Veteran’s Memorial Park in downtown Fremont.  The Harvest Fest Parade is a celebration of the harvest time, with over 120 parade entries, featuring antique tractors, unique farm implements and dozens of floats!

Stick around Veteran’s Memorial Park after the parade to join in the fun of old fashioned Pedal Pulls!
