Like it or not, the holiday shopping season is here!  I’m probably more guilty than most of having a certain distinct box showing up on my porch on a regular basis, but this year is more important than ever to support small businesses.

I’ve put together a list of 8 places in Newaygo County that I’ll be shopping at this season for unique gifts.

Hesperia Antique & Curio has taken a historic building and turned it into a truly one of a kind shopping experience.  They have everything from the biggest selection of yarn I’ve ever seen to an entire vintage kitchen – I can always find something unique here.

SHB Gifts & Decor specializes in Michigan Made items and has the most adorable holiday gnome decorations!  They also do gift baskets, and I’ll be having one made for my best friend, who moved away from Michigan a few years ago.

I don’t know about you, but my in-laws are the hardest to buy for!  The Original Print Shop is coming to the rescue for me this year, turning a picture collage of my kids into a 500 piece puzzle (for under $30!)  That’s just the beginning of what they can do!

Hidden Treasures lives up to its name – they have over 40 vendors offering up things from the traditional thrift store finds to boutique clothing to shabby shic decor.

If you have outdoorsmen (or women) in your life like I do, then 37 North is the place you need to go.  They’ve got the warmest socks on the planet, every type of outdoor gear and even Stormy Kromer!

You can’t NOT visit Newaygo Brewing Company if you are in Newaygo… Who doesn’t love a growler full of local beer for Christmas? You can even order online!

Downtown Threadz opened in the spring of 2020, located inside of Market 41 in Downtown Newaygo, and they are surely making their mark!  Specializing in denim, they have so much more!  I’ll be purchasing artisan soap, made especially for hunters!

M37 Adventure is the NEWEST business to Newaygo County (literally launched 11/25!) – and they have some incredible items!  Their brand speaks to my soul, driving on M37 so many days of my childhood & the items they have in their store are so unique.  I mean – where else have you seen a hoodie that converts into a drawstring bag?

This list could go on for days, but luckily (Thanks to the generosity of the Fremont Area Community Foundation) our friends at the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce, River Country Chamber of Commerce & Hesperia Area Chamber of Commerce just put together this great map showing you tons of amazing places to shop & eat in Newaygo County this holiday season.
