Local Golf Course Wins National Award

Waters Edge Golf Course in Fremont, MI has initiated substantial changes. The entire staff at Waters Edge is excited to announce their Grand Opening of Holes #5 and #6. Ray Hearn, a nationally recognized Golf Course Architect, was hired by Waters Edge to design and develop the changes to these holes which lead to the Design Excellence award by the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Although this is an incredible honor, this is just the first step of many.

Waters Edge is making more improvements that will eventually unite people of all ages together, golf background or not. For Waters Edge, golf is a way to connect all people through competition, but also through community. Waters Edge displays this through their Junior Programs, support for the Fremont High School Golf Teams, group lessons, leagues, and many more opportunities for the community to be together.

Next spring, this course will expand to include the opening of the new Driving Range and down the road, an opening of a Performance Center and Events Pavilion. Community and the effect that golf can have on a community is a priority at Waters Edge. Please come join us on June 29th for our celebratory Grand Re-Opening at 3pm.
